Director, Asian Art

Harry Huang

Harry Huang is the Director of Asian Art at Clars where he heads the department.

With over a decade of experience in the auction industry, Harry was previously the Head of Asian Art at Michaan’s Auctions and Fine Estate Inc. He spearheaded the department for both companies by successfully conducting monthly auctions as well as numerous Asian Art specific auctions with tremendous results. Some of the highlights from his previous tenures include a rare and magnificent Chinese soapstone carving (sold for $2.35 million in June 2013) and Fu Baoshi’s Lady and Bamboo (sold for $1.4 million in June 2015). Harry holds a Master of Letters degree in Art History of China from Christie’s Education, London accredited by the University of Glasgow. He is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
