Telephone Bid

If you can’t be present, it’s still possible to place a telephone bid.

Whether you are interested in fine arts, furniture and decorative arts, Asian arts, jewelry, silver, gold, automobiles, antiquities, or ephemera — just register using this form and press the submit button.

If you do not have a purchase history with Clars, you will be required to leave a refundable deposit to secure a phone line. If you are not the high bidder your deposit will be returned within 24 hours of the sale date.

Note that all telephone bids must be recieved by 5PM pacific time the day before the auction in order to be accepted.

When you hit submit, you agree to the following terms:

I agree that all phone bids will open at a minimum of $500 and understand that my phone bidding privilege will be revoked if I do not bid at that amount.

I have read, understand and agree to Clars Auctions’ Conditions of Sale. All bids will be treated as offers subject to the Conditions of Sale.

I understand that there is a 26% additional charge (Buyer’s Premium) added to the Hammer Price on all items. Should the Hammer Price be above five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), the Buyer’s Premium on the incremental amount between five hundred thousand one dollars ($500,001) and one million dollars ($1,000,000) is reduced to 20%, plus 10% on any amount over one million dollars ($1,000,000). For those who bid through the internet, there is a 2% surcharge for Clars Online Bidding or 5% for all other bidding platforms. Sales tax will also be charged unless you have a valid California resale license.
