Asian Art
The Asian Works of Art department will feature two Jun Kaneko glazed ceramic sculptures and three Toko Shinoda lithographic prints from a prominent corporate collection. Kaneko, born in Nagoya in 1942, is celebrated for his monumental ceramic forms exploring the interplay of color, scale, and surface. Shinoda (1913–2021), a pioneering Japanese abstract artist, is acclaimed for merging calligraphic brushwork with modern abstraction, bridging the ancient and the contemporary.
