Absentee Bid

If you can’t be present, let us bid for you.

Tell us your maximum bid (80% of all successful absentee bids sell for less than the maximum bid authorized by the buyer). Please make sure your bid amount is a valid increment. Otherwise we may round down your bid to the nearest increment. Whether you are interested in fine arts, furniture and decorative arts, Asian arts, jewelry, silver, gold, automobiles or special collections, just fill in the form below and press the Place Bid button.

Please note that a Buyer’s Premium of 26% will be added to the Hammer Price on all items. Should the Hammer Price be above five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000), the Buyer’s Premium on the incremental amount between five hundred thousand one dollars ($500,001) and one million dollars ($1,000,000) is reduced to 20%, plus 10% on any amount over one million dollars ($1,000,000). For those who bid through the internet, there is a 2% surcharge for Clars Online Bidding or 5% for all other bidding platforms. Sales tax will also be charged unless you have a valid California resale license.

When you hit Place Bid, you agree to the following terms:

1. Clars Auction Gallery, Inc. is hereby authorized to bid on all the Lots listed in the form, up to the price stated, and will try to obtain them as reasonably as possible. Clars assumes no responsibility for failure to execute these bids for any reason whatsoever. All bids will be treated as offers subject to the Conditions of Sale.
2. If you do not have a purchase history with Clars, you may be contacted to provide a valid credit card number in order for us to execute your bid(s).
